The close relationship between fashion and bathing culture has a long-standing tradition on the Isle of Usedom. Already over 100 years ago, fashion was one of the top topics of the Berlin ladies who traveled to the seaside resorts of Usedom in the summer. Nowadays, the “3 Kaiserbäder” have become a hot spot for the creative community from the Baltic Sea countries.
The Baltic region continues to grow closer together thanks to the expansion of the EU. Through the unifying element of the Baltic Sea, new connections between Northern, Eastern, and Middle Europe are being formed. The BALTIC FASHION AWARD, under the aegis of the Ministry of Economics, Labor, and Tourism of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, is drawing attention to this economic and cultural sphere full of tradition and creativity in Northern Europe.
